On May 5, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a selection process, in which 1,863 individuals were invited to apply for the Ontario Express Entry's Human Capital Priority Stream. This particular selection process had a specific focus on attracting individuals in the tech industry.

The draw was held for the selection of candidates who had created profiles between May 5, 2022, and May 5, 2023, through the Express Entry System of Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Individuals who scored between 475 to 482 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) were issued a Notification of Interest (NOI) if they were immigrants.

Applicants who possessed prior job exposure in the NOCs mentioned below were extended an invitation:

➤ NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers

➤ NOC 21211 – Data Scientists

➤ NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators

➤ NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and

➤ NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers

➤ NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers

➤ NOC 21233 – Web designers

➤ NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers

➤ NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
