All those Express Entry applicants who received a provincial nomination have moved one step closer to their Canadian permanent residence dream as the federal government of Canada has invited a total of 183 Express Entry applicants in the recent draw released on March 17 thereby enabling the eligible and skilled candidates to apply for the permanent residence of Canada.
Candidates with a minimum CRS score of 682 points were invited by the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The requirement laid down for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score seems high for this draw, however this is only because all those candidates that were invited in this draw already received a nomination from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are automatically being awarded an additional score of 600 points on their existing human capital score. This implies that those candidates who already have a minimum score of 682 points to get selected in this PNP draw, would have originally maintained a CRS score of 82 points without having secured a provincial nomination.
Candidates who had a minimum score equivalent score to 682 points were only considered under this draw if they have already submitted their Express Entry Applications before March 4, 2021 at 16:56:20 UTC, by following the tie-break rule.
