Ontario has invited Express Entry applicants with a prior work experience in the selected tech occupations to apply for immigration to Canada through the provincial nomination pathway   April 14, 2021   The provincial government of Ontario has invited a total of 528 candidates from the Express Entry Pool that have a prior tech experience in order to apply for their provincial nomination in the PNP draw that took place recently on April 13.   Invitations were received by those applicants who were eligible for the Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. They were required to have their Express Entry profile already submitted towards the Express Entry System with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score ranging between 456 and 467.   In addition to the above eligibility criteria, candidates are also required to have minimum one year of employment experience in one of the following occupations mentioned as follows:   - Computer and Information Systems Managers (NOC 0213); - Computer Engineers (NOC 2147); - Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172); - Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173); - Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers (NOC 2174); or  - Web Designers and Developers (NOC 2175)   The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) official website further elaborates that those candidates who are not being able to demonstrate the required employment experience in any one of the above occupations will not be considered for further processing of their applications and the same can be refused. Also, the invited candidates with international education may also be required to submit an Educational Credential Assessment so that their educational credentials can be verified for their equivalency with respect to the Canadian degree of graduation or higher. Those who have received an invitation in this draw will be given 45 days’ time to submit their application towards the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).   All those candidates who receive a nomination from the province of Ontario will be automatically receiving 600 CRS points towards their existing scores in the Expression of Interest. This increase in the total CRS points will effectively guarantee that the selected applicants will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the subsequent draw. This procedure of getting selected by the federal government of Canada is applicable for all those who receive a provincial nomination programs from any of the Express Entry associated PNP.     The recent draw is second Tech Draw released by the Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program for this year. In the first draw that took place for this year, more than 1,100 applicants were invited to apply towards the OINP provincial nomination program.   Previous year in 2020, the province of Ontario nominated around 2000 Express Entry applicants under its Human Capital Priorities Stream. In these selected candidates, 20 percent nominations were received by those that had a work experience or job offer in the field of software engineer, interactive media developers, web designers, computer programmers and others.   How to get invitation from Ontario Tech Draw   The first and foremost step to become eligible for a nomination from the OINP Tech draw is to create and submit a profile in the federal Express Entry System.   Express Entry System can be explained as an application management system that operates three federal economic-class immigration programs that are: Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Worker Program. Further, Ontario’s Human Capital Priority Stream recognizes tech professionals from the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Canadian Experience Class.   The ranking of the Express Entry candidates is done according to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which is evaluated across various human capital factors that are, education, employment experience, age and language proficiency in either English or French.   The OINP Tech Draws selects eligible candidates directly from the Express Entry pool, thereby inviting them to apply for the provincial nominee program of Ontario.   Once the entire process gets completed, candidates explored the required opportunity to settle and work in their desired technology career in the province of Ontario. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Providing pathways to Canada immigration   Yes! If the federal Express Entry is not working out due to some specific factor then you can explore other immigration options for migrating to Canada. There are a plenty of other ways to make it happen and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is one of the most prominent pathways among these alternatives to move to Canada.   The Federal Government of Canada is giving more power to all its provinces when it comes to selecting new foreign skilled immigrants. You should be aware that some of the provincial nominations result in an addition of 600-points towards your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the Express Entry System but some of these PNP streams does not work in direct alignment with the larger Express Entry System.   To Stay Updated on Canada Immigration News, Subscribe to Immigration Experts NEWSLETTER: https://www.immigrationxperts.com/newsletter/ We request you to fill up our Free Evaluation Form and take the initial step towards your Visa and Immigration Process.
