Since the beginning of 2021, B.C. has issued 7,601 invitations to submit for a provincial nomination. On August 24, British Columbia welcomed 74 immigration applicants working in key technology occupations to apply for a provincial nomination. The BC PNP Tech, which is part of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), issued the new invites. Those selected through British Columbia's Tech draws must fulfil the standards of one of the province's Express Entry BC or Skills immigration categories, which are handled by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Candidates in this draw had to have a provincial score of 80 and be from the Skilled Worker or International Graduate subcategories. Candidates who have been invited to apply for the nomination have 30 days to do so.
