The OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) is a program that the province of Ontario uses to give permanent residency to chosen immigration applicants so that they can contribute to the province's economy and fill employment market shortages.
Including nine streams, the OINP is one of Canada's most diverse Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), with five for skilled workers and post-graduates (without a job offer), one for entrepreneurs, and three for job offer holders.
International students and temporary foreign workers having profiles in Ontario's EOI system were offered to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
On September 21, Ontario issued a new round of invitations, inviting 995 people to apply for a provincial nomination.
Candidates who have profiles in the Expression of Interest (EOI) pool were invited by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates may have been eligible for one of two types of Employer Job Offers.
A total of 406 people who could be qualified for the Foreign Worker Stream were invited. A minimum score of 37 was required for these candidates. Because it was a public draw, there were no specific vocations or location criteria.
Another 523 students were asked to submit for a nomination in the International Student Stream's general draw. To be invited, these applicants needed an EOI score of at least 61.
The OINP also sent out 66 invitations to immigrants who had registered for the Regional Immigration Pilot and who could be eligible for the same two Employer Job Offer streams. Foreign employees received 36 invites, while international students received 30.
