The embassy has announced that interview slots are now available for students with I-20 who must apply for visa categories F, M, and J at the Embassy and Consulates for interviews occurring after August 14.
Book an appointment right away if you need to be in school by the middle of August, it said.
"Student visa appointments are accessible on our website," the embassy tweeted. Don't wait if you have an I-20! If you need to be in school by the middle of August, schedule an appointment right now because the Embassy and Consulates will only have F, M, and J appointment vacancies for interviews that take place after August 14!

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) conducted meetings with Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States on 24 June to simplify the visa appointment process for Indian students.
Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, added that the nations agreed to continue working on further simplifying and expediting the procedure because the flow of students has been mutually beneficial.
Senior MEA officials dealing with Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, UK, and the USA had fruitful conversations concerning simplifying student visas for Indian people with the relevant Heads of Missions/senior diplomats of these countries, Bagchi tweeted.
According to reports, India brought up the problem of international students and requested that other nations speed up and clarify the visa application procedure.
US Charge d'Affaires Patricia Lacina stated earlier in the month that the US Mission to India awarded more student visas in 2021 than ever before and is anticipating a record-breaking season this year despite the obstacles of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Lacina said that the United States anticipates another record-breaking summer for the issuing of visas to Indian students.
A record 62,000 Indian students received US visas last year. An official reported that the Embassy had opened 100,000 appointments this year for student visas.
According to the new visa regulations, "we have opened tens of thousands of visa appointments and enlarged our interview waiver possibilities for students," Lacina said.
