British Columbia's Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) started general and targeted draws.
About 183 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for a provincial nomination for a Canadian PR visa have been issued in connection with these draws by BC PNP.
Targeted draws were held for certain occupations, such as childcare: early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214), healthcare, etc., while general draws were held for tech-related occupations.
In the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program's General Draw, 147 applicants were selected in the categories of skilled workers and international graduates.
BC has sent out nearly 36 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in three different targeted draws to applicants who have expertise in certain priority occupations, such as childcare: early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214), healthcare, and other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213).

A combination of the following factors may be used to target ITAs to the categories for skilled immigration:• Education – level and field of education and where it was completed
• Language skills
• Occupation
• Duration and skill level of work experience
• Wage and/or skill level of job offer
• Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
• Strategic priorities – factors that address specific labour market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives
