NSW invites and nominates SkillSelect EOIs at the ANZSCO unit group level. You must be qualified for a NSW nomination if you are skilled in a profession that BOTH:
• occurs in one of the listed ANZSCO unit groups, AND
• is eligible for the relevant visa
It is significant to remember that not all ANZSCO unit group vocations qualify for the corresponding visa. Before requesting a skills evaluation, the prospective immigrant must make sure their profession qualifies for the visa.
The necessity for new minimum point totals and skilled work experience
For the fiscal year 2022–2023, we have added new minimum point thresholds and years of skilled job experience criteria.
You must have both the required minimum years of work experience in the ANZSCO unit group for your occupation and the required minimum point score to be eligible for NSW nomination.
For instance, in order to be considered for an invitation round, you must have a minimum point score of 110 and three years of relevant qualified work experience if you are skilled as a Finance Manager (occupation code 132211).
