Canada has extended an invitation to 3,500 individuals to submit their applications for permanent residency in the country

In the April 12 draw, all programs under the management of Express Entry were taken into account, and candidates were evaluated based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which had a cut-off threshold of 486 points.

Following three consecutive weeks of setting new records for the number of candidates invited through Express Entry draws, it appears that Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has discontinued its pattern of inviting 7,000 candidates simultaneously

Kindly be informed that it may require a maximum of 24 hours for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to become visible in your account with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The CRS score has experienced a minor rise subsequent to the decrease in the number of Invitations to Apply (ITA)

➤ The number of invitations for Canadian permanent residence offered in the latest draw is 3,500, which is only half of what IRCC had been offering in the previous three draws. Consequently, the CRS cut-off has slightly increased as fewer people have been invited to apply.

➤ During an Express Entry draw, candidates with the highest scores are selected based on the CRS score, which depends on the number of candidates who score high and the number of ITAs issued at a time.

➤ Due to the pause in Express Entry after the NOC 2021 update in November, and the 18-month pause in all program draws prior to that, the number of candidates in the pool has increased. This has resulted in high CRS cutoffs in recent months.

➤ The fact that IRCC is conducting larger and more frequent draws suggests that the department is attempting to process the large number of Express Entry candidates in the pool.
