253 out of 638 were Express Entry candidates who were invited

Reflecting to the latest draw made in 13th March 2018, the Manitoba province has issued 638 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. 258 out of 638 invitations were authorized to the candidates from the federal Express Entry category.

Total 253 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) was issued by Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) to the Express Entry candidates who possessed a job seeker validation code along with minimum six months of latest experience in an occupation mentioned on the MPNP. Also the occupation should be in high demand in the Occupations List.

The minimum score for a Express Entry candidate invited under Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) is 545. This minimum EOI score has further curtailed by 15 points over the prior draw via the MPNP’s new Express Entry sub-stream, and 20 points less than the inauguration draw of the sub stream conducted on January 11.

In the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream 184 candidates were issued LAAs, to the candidates having an EOI ranking score of 545 that is the minimum score. Also a total of 144 candidates in the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were issued LAAs. And the minimum score a candidate in this group has an EOI ranking score of 590.

Fulfillment Criteria of the Candidates:

  • Having a Manitoba based relative or prior education or Manitoba work experience;
  • Declaration of regional destination;
  • Six months of latest work experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s Occupations list that are in high demand; and
  • At least CLB 5 for language eligibility and primary work experience in a monitored occupation (at least 7) or a compulsory occupation (CLB 6).

Again 57 LAAs were raised under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative via the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream that has candidate with the minimum rank having a score of 703.

 The Crucial Recruitment Initiatives comprises:

  • Recruitment missions. The fairs for overseas immigration comprise MPNP professional representatives were involved for interviewing foreign skilled workers and later invite them to apply after the formal EOI was made to the MPNP.
  • Exploratory visits. Invitations to the candidates via MPNP were made who possess a pre-approved Exploratory Visit and passed an interview with the officer related to the program.
