Prince Edward Island’s issues 143 Invitations in The Latest Draw

  Aug 15, 2019–In its recent Expression of Interest PEI PNP draw, Prince Edward Island passed 1,000 invitations for 2019. The draw on August 15 sends 143 invitations through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program's Labor Impact, Express Entry, and Business Impact streams.   Labor Impact / Express Candidates got 133 invites, while applicants for business impact received the remaining 10 invites.   In 2019, a total of 1,065 invitations were awarded. At the beginning of 2018, PEI introduced its Expression of Interest scheme and has since created monthly draws.   PEI Express Entry applicants who receive a provincial nomination will receive an extra 600 points for their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and transfer to the front of the Invitation to Apply (ITA) line through the Federal Express Entry Selection System.   PEI's Labor Impact Category is for foreign citizens with a valid provincial work offer and PEI support from an employer. An EOI is not a request, but rather a manner to notify the PEI PNP that you want to be considered for a provincial nomination.   Then the highest-ranking applicants are invited from each pool to apply through monthly drawings.   The August 15 Express Entry draw saw 15 more invitations when 118 invitations were sent out than the earlier draw on July 18.
