The Government of Canada has announced certain new measures to help international students start a completely new online program that will operate from outside Canada.
This would allow them to include the time on which they must have applied for the study permit for Canada, rather than when they received an approval on their study visa that is required for a future post-graduation work permit. However, the international students should eventually receive an approval on their study permit and would require to complete more than 50 percent of their academic program when they will finally arrive in Canada after the lockdown situation will be lifted for a larger part of the world.
The Government of Canada have also proposed that they will also be providing an exclusive service of priority processing for all those students who have already submitted their complete study permit application until this date.
Further, they have initiated the procedure of approving the study permit applications of all these international students in 2 stages. This includes the assessment of the student or the applicant by checking their eligibility and admissibility.
In case the student gets through the eligibility stage, which implies that they have been accepted at one of the learning institutions in Canada, have the required funds and more, then they will be notified for their approval on the first stage.
The international students will then receive a final approval on their applications once they will meet the required criteria for their admissibility, this certainly includes submitting all the relevant documents which primarily includes, biometrics, medical assessment for immigration and also a police verification procedure.
