The recent update received has confirmed that there are no active cases and also no new cases being reported of Covid-19 in New Zealand, approved by the Ministry of Health of New Zealand.

The Ministry of Health of New Zealand has finally confirmed that they are being informed by the Auckland Regional Public Health that some of its remaining cases do not have any symptoms from the last 48 hours and are therefore are confirmed as completely recovered.

The last suspected person has now been released from quarantine. This particular medical case was found to be associated with the Rest Home cluster and St Margaret’s Hospital located in Auckland. This was perceived as optimistic news for the concerned individual and is therefore something that the rest of the New Zealand can take pride for, as stated by Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health of the Government of New Zealand.

The Ministry of Health further said that the suspected case was listed initially as a probable case but was then removed from the list after getting tested negative for Covid-19.

Dr. Bloomfield said that it’s been long since February 28 that the country has reported no new active cases. Moreover, there are no new suspected cases found for Covid-19 across New Zealand for the 17th day since the last case reported, with no new deaths reported.

The last new case that was reported for the Covid-19 in the country was on May 22, 2020.

Dr. Bloomfield will attend the media conference in the upcoming days where the prime minister of New Zealand will provide the subsequent update after the meeting with the Cabinet to decide and convey whether to move further towards alert Level 1.

In case you have any symptoms of the Covid-19, then immediately call the Covid-19 Helpline number of New Zealand Government on 0800-358-5453 or can call the GP directly and do not visit to any health center.

As of now, the total numbers of confirmed cases are equivalent to 1,154. Also, the total numbers of cases that are listed as confirmed and probable are equal to 1,504.

The total numbers of recovered cases are now 1,482. Further, there is no case in any of the hospitals across the country that being provided care for the viral disease.

The Ministry of Health reported that 800 tests were completed the other day, which has brought the total number of Covid-19 tests completed till date to only 2, 94,848.

Eight important clusters remained closed, and this state remains unchanged since yesterday.

The data shown above is compelling the cabinet to decide whether to make the restrictions easier for the alert level 1 while still keeping the borders of the country temporality closed.

Leader of the National Party, Todd Muller has put forth his statement that each passing day of the level 2 restrictions imposed on the economical and social developments of the nation is devastating for businesses and no justifications are required for this evident scenario.

On the other hand, the Finance Minister of the New Zealand cabinet, Grant Robertson was reported saying that he is no less keen to step further towards Level 1 but the final decision for the same would be conveyed by the Cabinet and the country will be operational accordingly as per their latest advice.
