The province of Ontario has invited Express Entry candidates with a prior work experience on of the selected nine occupations to apply towards their provincial nomination program in the latest draw held on June 3, 2020.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw that took place recently has invited all the eligible candidates that might be eligible under the Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP). Candidates that already have a prior work experience in one of the following nine occupations mentioned below were being issued the Notifications of Interest (NOIs) or Nomination Letter in the current invitation round.
- Financial Managers (NOC 0111)
- Other administrative services managers (0114)
- Advertising, marketing and public relations managers (0124)
- Financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111)
- Other Financial Officers (NOC 1114)
- Professional occupations in business management consulting (NOC 1122)
- Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012)
- Other primary health practitioners (NOC 3124)
- Dieticians and nutritionists (NOC 3132)
Express Entry candidates who possess a minimum of one year of employment experience across Canada were required to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in between 358 and 439 for becoming eligible to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the province of Ontario. A total of 167 Notification of Interest (NOIs) was issued to candidates that had a work experience across Canada.
Most of these invitations were issued to candidates who had completed a prior work experience on the international level. A total of 532 candidates that were invited completed the required employment experience abroad. These candidates needed a CRS score between 471 and 500.
In order to get an invitation, candidates were first required to have their profiles already within the federal governments Express Entry System.
The Canadian Governments Express Entry System manages the applications of eligible candidates for the three federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Candidates are awarded with the points based on a range of human capital factors, which includes, age, work experience, educational qualification and their language ability.
A nomination received from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) guarantees that the candidate will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the permanent residence of Canada in the next Express Entry draw.
Ontario is allowed to send nominations to around 7,600 eligible applicants in the year 2020. This also includes 250 nominations for all the temporary workers that are employed in the intermediate skilled occupations or are categorized in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) Skill Level C.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Providing pathways to Canada immigration
Yes! If the federal Express Entry is not working out due to some specific factor then you can explore other immigration options for migrating to Canada. There are a plenty of other ways to make it happen and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is one of the most prominent pathways among these alternatives to move to Canada.
The Federal Government of Canada is giving more power to all its provinces when it comes to selecting new foreign skilled immigrants. You should be aware that some of the provincial nominations result in an addition of 600-points towards your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the Express Entry System but some of these PNP streams does not work in direct alignment with the larger Express Entry System.
