Workers in the automotive industry that have their profiles already submitted towards the Express Entry System were being invited to apply for the provincial nomination program of Nova Scotia announced recently. More details below.
The provincial government of Nova Scotia has invited eligible candidates to apply for the provincial nomination program on the latest draw which was released on September 24.
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) although released the eligibility criteria for the draw for the Express Entry applicants but have not specified about the total number of invitations that were sent.
Candidates are required to have a primary occupation under one of the following two National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes, that are, Automotive Service Technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers (NOC 7321) or Motor Vehicle Body Repairs (NOC 7322).
All the invited candidates also are required to demonstrate that they already have two or more years of complete and full-time or an equivalent part-time work experience, under the above occupations in the last five year before the submission of application.
They also required having a Canadian Language Benchmark of minimum five across all the English Language Abilities. They should attach copies of the language proficiency tests along with proof of education with their existing application as required for the provincial nominations. Proof of education should mandatorily include an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report which is issued by the organization approved by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada if your education is completed outside of Canada.
All the invited candidates have time until October 24 to send their applications towards the Manitoba provincial nomination to apply for the Canadian permanent residence.
The Labour market Priorities Stream of the Nova Scotia invites eligible and skilled candidates based on the needs of the labour market of the province. This was the first Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) released by the province of Nova Scotia since the month of May, when the province issued invitations to nursing professionals who had their profiles already submitted towards the Express Entry Pool.
Invitations issued to the Express Entry candidates
In order to get considered for the provincial nomination program of Nova Scotia under the Labour Market Priorities Stream, applicants are first requires to have their profile already submitted towards the Express Entry System.
Express Entry System maintains and manages applications for the permanent residence program of Canada through three immigration programs operated directly by the Federal Government of Canada. This includes: Federal Skilled Worker program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Express Entry candidates are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). They are awarded points on the basis of human capital factors that include their age, employment experience, education and language proficiency skills in both English and French.
Now as the province of Nova Scotia has already issued invitations, which are also known as the Letters of Interest, the invited candidates will be given a total 60 calendar days to submit their application for the provincial nomination.
All those successful candidates who will receive a provincial nomination letter from the provincial government of Nova Scotia will then automatically will be awarded with additional 600 CRS points, which will then effectively guarantee an Invitation to Apply in the next Federal Express Entry Draw.
