On March 20th, 2023, there will be updates to the ACS Skills Assessment Guidelines for Applicants. However, there will be a grace period from March 20th to April 2nd, 2023, during which the current guideline V7.0 can still be used. Starting from April 3rd, 2023, all applications must follow the new guideline V8.0.

This update includes important modifications, and the following summary highlights these changes:

• The updated requirements for ICT content (major/minor) for postgraduate qualifications have been released. It has been specified that regardless of the type of Bachelor's degree (whether in ICT or another field), all postgraduate qualifications will be evaluated in the same manner. This information can be found in section 2.4.1.

• The updated requirement for the Diploma program now states that a minimum of one year of ICT content is necessary, as specified in section 2.4.1.

• Section 2.7 proposes the use of alternative employment proof, such as a work permit issued by the government, for nations that do not levy income taxes.

• The summary of significant alterations shown here is not exhaustive and there may be other modifications made to the guideline. Hence, the applicant should guarantee that they have complete knowledge of all the application criteria before submitting their application.
