960 EOIs were selected under the SkillSelect System for General Skilled Migration (GSM) to Australia during the selection round held on 16 September 2013

Those selected will be issued Invitation To Apply (ITA) for Australian Resident Visa.
STATE AND TERRITORY NOMINATIONS
1,662 applicants received State and Territory Nominations in August 2013. EOIs of those nominated are selected from the pool automatically and invitations issued to apply for Australian Resident Visa.
2,000 EOI TO BE SELECTED IN OCTOBER 2013
2,000 EOIs will be selected in the selection rounds to be held on 7 October and 21 October – 1,900 under Skilled Independent (SC 189) Visa and 100 under Skilled Regional Provisional (SC 489) Visa Category.
OCCUPATION CEILINGS
SkillSelect system of application has been introduced to enable Australia to control and manage the number and type of skilled applicants accepted by Australia. Annual occupation ceilings are established for each occupation type so that Australian labour market is not flooded by few occupations only. EOI selections are therefore subject to the annual occupation ceilings set for each year (1st July – 30 June). The occupation ceilings for the year 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014 have been reset and all occupations except 6 occupations listed above are currently open for selection.
