Australia Immigration Program: South Australia Released State Nominated Occupation List (SNOL)

The Immigration Program operated by South Australia has released its updated State Nominated Occupation List (SNOL) which would be effective starting from December 3, 2019. This latest SNOL includes a total of 275 occupations, however the other supplementary Skilled Occupation List has only 223 different occupations and considers applicants that meet few some other additional requirements.

The new State Nominated Occupation List is focused towards all those applicants that intend to apply for the State Nominate Visa by submitting the visa application for the state of South Australia. More description on this newly released occupation list and all the available state nominations options is as follows.

The newly launched Skilled Occupation List or the SNOL is applicable for two State Nominated Visa Categories, that are:

Skilled Nominated Permanent Visa (Subclass 190), and New Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491) The Skilled Nominated Permanent Visa (Subclass 190) is a permanent resident visa, while the other New Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) comes under temporary visa category and is being allocated by the Australian Government for a maximum period of 5 years.  

New Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491) Visa

The Subclass 491 Visa has been launched by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) of Australia, effective from November 16, 2019. This visa has replaced the previously operated Subclass 489 Visa.

The new Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491) visa enables you to live and work in Australia for a maximum period of 5 years. In addition to this, the Subclass 491 visa also makes you eligible to apply for the permanent resident visa of Australia after staying in the regional area of Australia for up to 3 years.
