Australia introduces a 3-year multiple entry visa program for the low risk Indians
The government is inspecting changes in the visa plans in the major markets by encouraging more number of visitors and investors.
During the presentation of federal budget 2016-17, the government announced its plan to inspect the changes in the visa arrangements through more encouragement of investors and visitors.
The inspection involves a user-pay fast track visa service for people in India and United Arab Emirates. In addition, three-year multiple entry visas are also introduced for low-risk residents of India Vietnam, Chile, and Thailand.
It is expected that the system will bring revenue growth of $1.5 million after 4 years from 2016-17.
The Treasurer, Scott Morrison said that the strategy was built in MYEFO 2015-16 system that included the user-pays visa fast-track service on a trial basis for Chinese nationals.
They government also mentioned that it believes it can save over $180 million in three years if taken from 2017-18 due to the betterment of computerisation in visa processing. The betterment is in a way that it will provide self-service options and use more complex technology for the assessment purposes.
