The DIBP officer conveyed that the default three year validity period for skills assessment is to balance out the existing three year validity period for English Language Tests. Earlier only English language test had three years validity period, realizing that at least the same amount of time is required for other skills assessment the DIBP came to the conclusion of increasing validity period for all skills assessments.
Consequently, a skills assessment preparation to apply for an Australian visa need be valid at the time of visa lodgment from the 1st of July for various visas comprising:
