On May 24, the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued its weekly round of invites.
A total of 137 BC immigration applicants were invited to submit an application for a provincial nomination.
A draw at BC Tech was used to invite 115 of these candidates. Candidates invited through BC's Tech draws must meet the requirements of one of BC's Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories, which are managed through the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Candidates in this draw had to have a minimum provincial score of 85 and be from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories.
Two further draws for applicants in certain vocations were also organized by the province. A total of 11 early childhood educators were invited, with some of them potentially qualifying for the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories.
In addition, BC invited 11 healthcare professionals who would be qualified for the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, or Entry Level and Semi-Skilled subcategories. Candidates needed a minimum provincial score of 60 in each of these draws.
