British Columbia invited 63 applicants In Latest Tech Draw

  Tech Pilot from British Columbia will remain until June 2020, announced on June 3 by the British Columbia province's immigrant nominee program.    The Tech Pilot, launched by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) in 2017, offers a fast-tracked path to Canadian permanent global talent residence with a work offer in one of the 29 eligible tech occupations of the pilot.   The work offer must last for at least one year and at the moment of implementation have at least 120 days left on it. Eligible applicants in the BC PNP's Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C categories of Skilled Workers and International Graduates. Invitations to apply in weekly drawings are awarded streams.   British Columbia invited 63 applicants to apply for provincial nomination under the BC PNP Tech Pilot program, including Express Entry applicants, with invitations given in four categories.  
  1. EEBC- Skilled Worker
  2. EEBC- International Graduate
  3. SI- Skilled Worker
  4. SI- International Graduate
  Express Entry applicants with a provincial nomination earn an extra 600 points for their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which efficiently assures an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool.

    The BCPNP said the percentage of nominations in technology employment went up from 17.2 the year before in 2018 to 19.7% of nominations.
