For the third consecutive time, Canada has organized an Express Entry draw and has extended invitations to 7,000 more candidates.
On March 29, a draw was held which resulted in 21,000 invitations being issued to Express Entry candidates within a three-week period. All candidates in the Express Entry programs were evaluated in this draw, and the minimum score required for consideration, as per the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), was 481 points.
An Express Entry draw issuing 7,000 invitations is an enormous figure. The draw held on March 29th marked the maximum number of ITAs ever issued in an all-program draw, equalling the records set on March 15th and March 23rd.
Kindly be aware that it may take a maximum of 24 hours for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to be visible on your IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) account.
The CRS is experiencing a significant decrease as a result of large draw sizes.
Express Entry draws consisting of 7,000 candidates are causing a decrease in the CRS cut-offs. This is because the number of high-scoring candidates in the pool and the number of ITAs issued during a draw affect the CRS score. IRCC selects the most highly scoring-candidates during these draws.
Due to the suspension of Express Entry after the NOC 2021 update in November, and the pause of all program draws for 18 months prior to that, the pool of candidates increased in number. As a result, the minimum CRS score required for selection has been relatively high in recent months.
The fact that IRCC is conducting frequent and sizeable draws implies that the department is making an effort to process a significant number of candidates in the Express Entry pool.
At what time is the next Express Entry draw scheduled?
It is impossible to determine the exact date of the next Express Entry draw as there is no published schedule available to the public. However, in the past, the IRCC has commonly conducted draws every two weeks on Wednesdays. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that draws may occur on other weekdays, and the gap between successive draws may be either longer or shorter.
