Today’s draw was the third Express Entry draw of the week. The previous draw took place on October 22, inviting 400 candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 539. On October 21, a draw for Express Entry candidates with Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominations invited 648 candidates, requiring a minimum CRS score of 791.
In recent months, IRCC has established a pattern of conducting multiple Express Entry draws every second week, typically including PNP and CEC-specific draws.

This approach underscores IRCC’s commitment to increasing the number of domestic draws for Express Entry candidates who are already living and working in Canada as temporary residents. This strategy aims to help the department meet its goals of reducing the number of temporary residents while also achieving the annual target for new permanent residents outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan.
The next plan is expected to be released by November 1, detailing targets for 2025-2027. The plan for 2024 aims to welcome 110,770 newcomers; however, it has not yet been confirmed whether IRCC has met that target.
Candidates who receive an invitation to apply (ITA) in the latter half of the year are more likely to be admitted in 2025, as IRCC aims to process Express Entry applications within a six-month service standard.
