Immigration policies, at least for Canada is moving away from conservatism to liberalism and transparency. In a recent move by IRCC, changes have been introduced to facilitate sponsorship of parents as well as grandparents.
Following are the changes rolled out by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC):
- Online forms will be rolled out and would be mandatory to be filled by anyone interested in sponsoring their parents or grandparents.
- Sponsors would be required to fill the online application between the dates January 3, 2017 and February
- 2,2017.
- All the required information like name, age, DOB, and so on would have to be disclosed. Further, sponsors would be required to specify as to who they want to nominate for immigration; parents of grandparents.
- Upon submission of application, the applicant would receive a confirmation number which should be saved.
Randomly 10,000 sponsors would be selected and given an invitation to apply out of everyone who has filled the online form to show interest to sponsor.
- Applicants need to apply within 90 of reviving the ITA.
All these changes have been introduced in order to make the application process more transparent. People who did not receive ITA can show their interest again by filling the online form in 2018. To know more about these changes and for immigration rules & laws you can reach out to us at 8010357357.
