Indications of changes in citizenship process by Australian PM
Recently the PM Malcom Turnbull announced that the citizenship process will be changed and has there by abolished 457 visa programs for foreign workers.
We a view of tightening the citizenship test rules the applicants can only appear for an exams three times. The test module is also expected to be changed.
Where in current situation the applicant can appear for exams as many times they need till they are able to achieve 15 correct answers out of 20 questions.
In an event in Canberra the PM Malcom Turnbull clearly mentioned that the changes are made to ensure that the one coming to Australia embraces its values.
On the similar topic the immigration minister Peter Dutton mentioned that the measures are taken to ensure people stand for Australian laws and blend in the society before they are granted the citizenship. He mentioned that 457 visa program served its rationale and needed to be overhauled. Furthermore, rejecting the condemnation he said that the changes were made in reaction to the policies of Pauline Hanson or US president Donald Trump.
The entire move was made with an intention to constrict the Australian Immigration laws. With this there would not be effect on the people how are already working in Australia in varied number of industries.
Mr Dutton clearly said that he does not want to be a default position to become bringing somebody from overseas into an Australian job.
While the employers are happy with the decision the trade unions have dismissed the same.
