This draw follows two distinctive program-specific draws on May 30 and 31, a departure from the typical process since the introduction of category-based selection draws in May 2023. The May 30 draw targeted only PNP candidates, while the May 31 draw was reserved for candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Together, these draws issued a total of 5,985 ITAs.
Notably, the CEC draw on May 31 was the first since September 2021. Given that many CEC candidates currently reside and work in Canada, this draw aligns with Canada's recent policy shift aimed at transitioning more temporary residents to permanent status, thereby reducing the overall number of temporary residents. The same objective applies to the PNP draw.

What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an application management system for three of Canada’s major economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used to evaluate candidates based on factors such as age, work experience, language proficiency, occupation, and education.
