On May 5, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued an invitation to 315 applicants to apply.
Three different immigration streams received invitations:
• Manitoba Skilled Workers — 249 invites with a minimum score of 651;
• Overseas Skilled Workers — 34 invites with a minimum score of 691; and
• International Education Stream – 32 invites with no minimum score.
Of those who were asked to apply, 48 had Express Entry profiles.
Those seeking a nomination from Manitoba must submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. After that, they will be eligible for a LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
Manitoba then assigns a score out of 1,000 to applicant profiles based on their human capital elements and links to the province. After that, the MPNP sends out invitations to potential candidates who can then apply for a provincial nomination.
