On April 21, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued an invitation to 303 applicants to apply.
Three different immigration streams received invitations:
• 201 invites with a minimum score of 707 for skilled workers in Manitoba;
• 61 invitations with a minimum score of 708 were sent out for Skilled Workers Overseas; and
• International Education Stream — 41 invites without a minimum score.
There were 46 people who had profiles in the Express Entry system out of the total number of people who were invited to apply.
Those interested in receiving a nomination from Manitoba must submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. They will be eligible for a LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams after that step is accomplished.
Manitoba then assigns a score out of 1,000 to applicant profiles based on their human capital aspects as well as their ties to the province. After that, the MPNP sends out invitations to potential candidates who can then apply for a provincial nomination.
