Beginning in April 2022, graduates of four private career institutions in New Brunswick will be able to apply for permanent residency under a new pilot programme.
“This proposal is something we have been working on for some time and we are happy to get it across the line”, Labour Minister Trevor Holder said.
“Newcomers are critical to addressing the difficulties of the Canadian labour market, and by providing this extra immigration stream, we are empowering more of our post-secondary institutions to train the skilled individuals that New Brunswick requires.”
Furthermore, beginning April 1, 2022, students who graduated from Atlantic Business College, Eastern College, McKenzie College, and Oulton College with training for any of 19 occupations will be eligible to apply to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) under the pilot programme in the Atlantic Canadian province.
