Nova Scotia sends Invitation to carpenters In latest Draw
Sept 20, 2019: Express Entry candidates were invited who had at least 2 years' experience as carpenters (NOC 7271) and language scores of at least CLB 5. invitations were issued September 2 through the province’s Labour Market Priorities Stream, which was launched last year. New invitations were awarded by the Government of Nova Scotia for the second time this month to apply for a permanent residence nomination through its Labor Market Priorities Stream. And have a unique condition for applying for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence with a profile in the federal Express Entry pool. Selected applicants are needed to provide employers ' letters of reference to show that they have two or more years of professional experience as a carpenter. Self-employed carpenters were also qualified to provide third-party documentation of the service supplied and details of the payment. A spokesperson for the NSNP said there was no minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement. A provincial nomination provides Express Entry candidates with an additional 600 points towards their Express Entry ranking score, effectively assuring an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry invitation round. The carpenters selected from the September 20 draw now have 30 days to apply for a provincial nomination.ELIGIBILITY
To apply you must:- receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Nominee Program within the Express Entry system;
- submit your application within 30 calendar days of the date on which your letter of interest was issued;
- meet the minimum work-experience requirements of the Express Entry stream for which you have qualified;
- demonstrate sufficient funds to successfully establish yourself and your family in Nova Scotia and to pay your immigration costs and travel expenses;
- have legal status in your current country of residence;
- meet eligibility criteria in place at the time you are issued a Letter of Interest; and
- have a valid Express Entry number and meet all IRCC criteria for the Express Entry pool.
