This is why the cut-off score of 734 was set so high. Provincial nominees in the Express Entry pool receive an immediate 600 point boost. The lowest-scoring candidate would have received 134 points if he or she had not been nominated.The Department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC) also announced a tie-break time. This is only a formality; there was no genuine tie. Candidates with the required score were only invited if their Express Entry profile was submitted before April 11, 2021.Canada invited 627 applicants in the previous PNP draw. The minimum required score was 760.
