On May 17, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducted its weekly round of invitations for candidates to apply for the program.
Invitations to submit an application for a provincial nomination were sent out to more than 175 immigration applicants in British Columbia.
A total of 154 individuals were selected via a random draw from the pool of applicants. Candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled subcategories were invited to participate in this draw and needed a provincial score between 77 and 123 to do so.
Applicants in certain fields of work were selected in three different draws. A total of 21 early childhood educators who may be eligible for the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories were asked to participate.
The province of British Columbia also invited an undefined number of healthcare professionals who would be qualified for the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, or Entry Level and Semi-Skilled subcategories. Candidates had to score at least 62 in order to be eligible for these draws.
