The province of Prince Edward Island has issued a total of 1,583 invitations to the Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates in the last 12 months.
The provincial government of Prince Edward Island has issued invitations to 345 eligible candidates to apply for their provincial nominee program in the latest draw which took place on September 17.
After distributing the record breaking number of invitations to the Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates on August 20, the provincial nominee program of Prince Edward Island (PEI PNP) issued yet another large number of invitations, that is, 345 invitations to candidates in all immigration streams in September 17 draw.
A total number of 313 candidates in the Express Entry and Labour Impact immigration categories of Prince Edward Island received the invitation to apply in the recent draw.
The provincial nominee program of Prince Edward Island, which is profoundly known as the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), however did not reveal the number of Express Entry applicants who have received the Invitation to Apply (ITA).
However, another 32 entrepreneur applicants were issued invitations through the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream of the Prince Edward Island.
The PEI PNP is an important part of the Provincial Nominee Program of Canada which enables the participating provinces as well as territories to nominate a specific number of economic immigration candidates for the permanent residence program of Canada every year.
The PEI PNP also has an Express Entry Category which is aligned directly with the Federal Express Entry System, which in turn manages the larger pool of applicants for the three main immigration categories of the Canadian Federal Government, that are, Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled trades Class and also the Canadian Experience Class.
PEI Express Entry Category
The PEI PNPs Express Entry Category is associated directly with the Canadian Government Express Entry System.
Eligible Entry Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 points towards their existing CRS score of the Express Entry application and are therefore guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry Draw for the permanent residence of Canada.
Express Entry candidates who will receive a provincial nomination are awarded with an additional 600 points towards their existing Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and are therefore guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the permanent residence of Canada in the next Federal Express Entry Draw.
In order to get considered for the Provincial Nomination from the province of OEI, Express Entry candidates are required to create and submit the EOI profile towards the PEI PNP.
These EOI profiles are then given points based on the unique point grid system followed by the province. The highest scoring candidate then receives an invitation to apply (ITA) from the draws that takes place frequently in the gap of approximately one month time.
Further, it should be noted that the PEI PNP has not provided ant breakdown of the total number of candidates that were selected under the Express Entry immigration category as well under the other Labour Impact Category nor they have intimidated the minimum EOI score needed for each stream.
Labour Impact Category
The Labour Impact Category of the PEI PNP is designed for the foreign nationals who already have a valid job offer from the PEI and have also received support from the employer based in PEI. It is further being divided into three immigration stream: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker and International Graduate.
Candidates in this immigration category as well should also submit the EOI profile so that they can be considered for the provincial nomination under the Labour Impact immigration category.
Business Impact Category
A total number of 32 candidates that were invited under the Business Impact immigration category in the recent draw are required to have a minimum EOI score equivalent to 102. All these invitations were issued to these eligible candidates under the Work permit Stream, which in turn is especially designed for the entrepreneurs who want to own and manage a business in the province of PEI.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Providing pathways to Canada immigration
Yes! If the federal Express Entry is not working out due to the current pandemic situation or some specific factor then you can explore other immigration options for migrating to Canada. There are a plenty of other ways to make it happen and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is one of the most prominent pathways among these alternatives to move to Canada.
The Federal Government of Canada is giving more power to all its provinces when it comes to selecting new foreign skilled immigrants. You should be aware that some of the provincial nominations result in an addition of 600-points towards your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the Express Entry System but some of these PNP streams does not work in direct alignment with the larger Express Entry System.
