Prince Edward Island issues 122 Invitation in Latest Draw

  Sept. 19, 2019. Prince Edward Island, frequently known as PEI, is one of nine provinces in Canada participating in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada. The PNP enables participating provinces to nominate permanent Canadian residence for foreign employees, global graduates, and entrepreneurs.   Prince Edward Island's government sent 122 invitation to express interest applicants in its Provincial Nominee Program's Express Entry, Labor Impact and Business Impact categories. PEI invited 109 applicants from Express Entry and Labor Impact to apply for the PEI PNP provincial nomination, with 13 additional company applicants invited from the Business class.    Prince Edward Island, frequently known as PEI, is one of nine provinces in Canada participating in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada. The PNP enables participating provinces to nominate permanent Canadian residence for foreign employees, global graduates, and entrepreneurs.   The Express Entry Category of the PEI PNP is connected to the federal Express Entry program and enables the province to nominate permanent residence applicants for Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.   Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are given 600 extra points for their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, and an Invitation to Apply (ITA) is efficiently guaranteed in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool. These profiles are provided an EOI rating of 100 based on variables such as education, work experience and English or French skills, and the highest-ranking applicants are invited to apply through monthly draws for a provincial nomination.   Candidates for these streams must be working in PEI or have, among other requirements, an employer's qualified full-time, long-term work offer in the province.
