On September 16, the Province of Prince Edward Island hosted its usual monthly immigration draw. Through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the province welcomed a total of 143 immigration candidates.
Express Entry and Labour Impact applicants received the majority of the invites (129). Business Impact applicants with at least 72 points in the province's immigration system received the remaining invites (14) .
PNPs enable provinces and territories in Canada to choose immigration applicants who fit their labour market demands. This is true in Prince Edward Island, which follows federally authorised rules for administering the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
The next PNP draw for Prince Edward Island is anticipated for October 21, 2021.
