The chance to acquire Australia Visa expires in few hours because the Regional Development Australia Central West has closed all occupations for a temporary period as there is a flood of applications.
Zoe (name changed) who is an accounting professional was eagerly waiting for the RDA Central West would all set to give a green signal to the applications for Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489). Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489) program is not offered to the accountants or accounting professionals by all the Australian states. Hence, it was a meaningful chance for Zoe. But it turned out to be meaningless and end up with bringing disappointment and frustration. Zoe stated: “I could not even apply. They published the requirements only on the same day and the occupation was open hardly for 12 hours.”
RDA Central West had opened the invitations for major occupations such as: Accountants, Management Accountants, Human Resource Advisors, Analyst Programmers, Computer Network and System Engineers, and Chefs on August 20, 2018. All these occupations demanded at least two years of experience in the relevant field. Below is the list of the occupations that have closed.
The subclass 489 visa program opened on 20 August 2018 and was closed for Accountants and Management Accountants as of 6:30 pm on 20 August 2018. The reason for this was the maximum number of applicants had been reached within this time frame.
Chaman Preet of Melbourne based Migration and Education Experts states: “The program attracted a considerable number of applications even though the requirement was for the applicants to have minimum two years of experience and the pool of applicants should have been a little restricted due to this requirement,”
It was announced by RDACW on 21 August 2018 at 10.00 am that the program is being closed temporarily as there is a flood of applications. It was announced on its official web page that those applicants who have get themselves registered and paid prior the closing date and time had been accepted.
Those applicants have been instructed to email their applications along with the supporting documents.
Chaman Preet applicants are waiting to apply for the limited number of seats.
Zoe says: “It’s about being at the right place, at the right time and taking swift action. Many applicants didn’t even qualify for as they could not meet the two-years-experience requirement however the amount of applications that the region has received, speaks volumes about the pool of applicants waiting to apply for the limited seats. It has made the process extremely competitive”.
