Saskatchewan invites 559 candidates under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) in the third major draw

  The province of Saskatchewan recently held its third invitation round on October 8, sending an invite to a total of 559 more Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand applicants under the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP).   This is the third major draw conducted by Saskatchewan since it has widened the number of high-skilled occupations that are eligible in its two most prominent Canadian permanent residency programs that include Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories. This includes an expansion from 19 high-skilled occupations to more than 200, updated last on September 18.   Since then, Saskatchewan has issued a total of 1,938 invitation to apply (ITA) under both the sub-categories across three draws. This inclusion of greater number of occupations is a direct result of the decision to eliminate the SINP IN-Demand occupation List over the Excluded Occupation List, targeting candidates holding professional experience across a wide range of occupations.   The eligibility of the candidate requires them to possess a minimum of one-year experience under the enlisted eligible occupation, which should be related to their field of study in both Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories, while also completing other eligibility requirements.   The SINP does not require the applicant to have a job offer from Saskatchewan or prior Canadian work experience. The ITA sent to candidates on October 8 draw has work experience under the following 15 high-skilled occupations. NOC stands for National Occupation Classification in the NOC code detailed across each occupation type.  
  • Financial managers (NOC 0111)
  • Human resource managers (NOC 0112)
  • Other administrative services managers (NOC 0114)
  • Banking credit and other investment managers (NOC 0122)
  • Managers in agriculture (NOC 0821)
  • Other financial officers (NOC 1114)
  • Administrative officers (NOC 1221)
  • Administrative assistants (NOC 1221)
  • Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311)
  • Information systems analysts and consultants (NOC 2171)
  • Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
  • Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
  • Architectural technologists and technicians (NOC 2251)
  • Financial sales representatives (NOC 6235)
  • Bakers (NOC 6332)
  • Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairs (NOC 7321)
  The third draw which held on October 8 was in continuation with the two major draws which held on October 2 and September 25. The October 2 draw issues 610 invitations to applicants under both sub-categories, whereas the September 25 draw sent a total of 769 invites to eligible candidates.   Candidates that receive an ITA are required to apply within a period of 60 days for the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) for Canadian permanent residence. If the candidate receives a nomination by the province, then it's guaranteed that they will be provided with an opportunity to apply for permanent residence.   It should be noted that the Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is directly associated with the federal Express Entry system. Those express entry applicants that receive a nomination from SINP directly receive an extra 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
