The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has brought out certain modifications in the partner visa processing i.e. the global processing time for partner visa applications has been curtailed to almost half under the spousal sponsorship program.
This change was good news for those who have been waiting for a result related to the wait time period. The DHA has curtailed the processing times for partner visas to 14-16 months from 21-26 months recently. The global processing times for these visa applications were last updated on 22 August 2018 for the month ending 31 July 2018.
The partners of Australian citizens or permanent residents who look forward to apply partner visa staying outside Australia had to wait up to 26 months earlier or even more depending on cases prior start living together in Australia.
“The news is music to ears for our clients waiting patiently for their applications to be finalized”. “The Department was already under fire for the horrendous wait times of up to two years whilst charging an exorbitant fee of over $7000”.
