Eligibility requirements

To apply for a Skills Assessment, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Satisfy Ahpra's English Language Skills Registration Standard for physiotherapists.

AND Fulfill One of these Conditions:

  1. Hold a physiotherapy qualification from Australia listed in the Physiotherapy Board of Australia's Approved Programs of Study for 'Physiotherapist.'
  2. Hold an Australian Physiotherapy Council Final Certificate.
  3. Hold an Australian Physiotherapy Council Certificate of Substantial Equivalence of Qualification.
  4. Hold an unconditional Annual Practicing Certificate from the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, plus at least 2 years of unrestricted work as a physiotherapist in New Zealand.
  5. Hold a physiotherapy qualification from New Zealand, accredited by the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, and an unconditional Annual Practicing Certificate from the same board.
