Occupations, Concessions and Skills Assessment
The following are the most recent updates to the DAMA program in South Australia:
• The DAMAs have introduced a number of new occupations, with a concentration on hospitality and tourism, motor trades, agribusiness, manufacturing, and forestry.
• The DAMAs contain exemptions from a number of conventional visa requirements, such as job experience, English language proficiency, and age. The DAMAs provide highly qualified individuals with a permanent residence pathway.
• For occupations where there is presently no alternative skills assessing authority, the South Australian government continues to operate as a skills evaluating authority. As a result, formerly excluded occupations will now be open to skilled migration.
