For the first time since February, Nova Scotia began sending letters of interest to applicants through the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream on November 8.
The immigration office in Nova Scotia has not replied to inquiries on the amount of letters granted, but it has made the requirements for obtaining one public. Candidates must satisfy the following prerequisites for eligibility:
• own a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 10 or above in French across all language skills and have chosen French as their first official language.
• have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 7 or above in English across all language skills and have English as a second official language.
• possess a bachelor's degree OR have finished a three-year or longer programme in a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institution.
Following receipt of their letter, applicants who want to apply to the province must provide copies of their language tests and documentation of their education, such as an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
