The Expression of Interest draws in Ontario are the largest to date.
A total of 1,685 international students and temporary foreign workers having profiles in Ontario's EOI system were asked to apply for a provincial nomination.
On July 13, Ontario conducted three big PNP draws in remote regions, targeting foreign workers, international students, and applicants with a job offer.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) welcomed 1,685 individuals from the new Expression of Interest (EOI) pool. Invited applicants may be eligible for one of two types of Employer Job Offers. This is the most invites given through the Employer Job Offer streams in 2021 to date.
The largest draw sent out 1,211 invitations to individuals who could be qualified for the Foreign Worker Stream. A score of at least 33 was required for these candidates. This was a general draw, which means there were no specific occupation or location criteria.
Another 431 people were asked to apply for a nomination through the International Student Stream in a general draw. To be invited, these individuals needed an EOI score of at least 62.
In addition, the OINP sent 43 invitations to immigration applicants who had registered for the Regional Immigration Pilot and may be eligible for the same two Employer Job Offer streams.
The province also provided guidelines for completing full PNP applications at the moment the current draw results were released. Those applying under the Employer Job Offer stream, for example, are required to present a printed and signed PDF copy of an attestation form, among other requirements. If this form is not completed, the application will be returned as incomplete, the application money will be reimbursed, and the chance to apply to the program will be forfeited.
