Overview

Invitation rounds will be conducted at intervals throughout the program year for:

  • Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
  • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Family Sponsored

The number of invitations issued in each round may differ based on the volume of existing applications.

Nominations made by state or territory governments for skilled visas will remain unaffected by the department’s invitation rounds.
