IRCC accepts liquid, accessible funds such as savings account balances, term deposits, and cashable investments. Acceptable proofs include bank statements, certificates of deposit, or official bank letters. However, property valuations, jewelry, or vehicle ownership are not accepted as liquid funds. Joint accounts are valid if you can prove you have full access to the money. The funds must be available when your PR visa is issued and remain in your account until you land in Canada. It’s best to keep them in one or two main accounts under your name for transparency and ease of verification.
