You can apply to receive nomination to apply for the permanent residency of Canada through the Provincial Nominee Program’s Prince Edward Island (PEI PNP) International Graduate stream, if you have completed your graduation public-funded post-secondary academic graduation of Prince Edward Island. The international Graduate Stream is completely employer-driven and enables the employers across the province to hire individuals to fill high-skilled positions which they are not able to fill by finding a suitable candidate from the local job market.
If you are willing to invest and operate a new business by immigrating to the Prince Edward Island by immigrating to the province, then you can become eligible to be nominated for the Canadian permanent residence permit by using the Work Permit Stream of the Provincial Nominee Program of Prince Edward Island (PEI PNP). This stream is especially designed for foreign nationals who either own a business or have extensive management experience and intend to move to the province of PEI to start a new business and eventually get the permanent residency of Canada.
While on work permit, the applicants would be expected to start working in a legitimate occupation in the province and then accumulate more knowledge about the business in which they would like to invest across PEI.
Please note that the province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) has recently announced changes in the Business Impact Category under the PEI’s Provincial Nominee Program. Starting from September 20, 2018, PEI will only send invitations to those entrepreneurs that will be selected through the Work Permit stream. This is because the other two, 100% Ownership and the Partial Ownership streams will permanently close. All applicants will continue to receive invitations from the Expression of Interest system and also the schedule of regular draws will remain unchanged.
