The Australian Government has released the nomination allocations for the 2024–25 Migration Program year. These allocations determine the number of new primary applicants each state and territory can nominate, adding to the existing caseload for respective visa categories. It’s important to note that these allocations do not restrict the total number of visas granted.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the nominations allocated for Skilled Nominated visa 190 and Skilled Work Regional visa 491 across Australia:
Key Highlights:
- Highest Allocations: NSW, VIC, and WA receive the highest number of nominations for both visa categories, reflecting their significant role in Australia’s skilled migration strategy.
- Balanced Distribution: Allocations are strategically distributed to support regional and state-specific needs, promoting skilled migration across Australia.
These allocations are designed to enhance Australia’s ability to attract and retain skilled professionals, contributing to economic growth and addressing skill shortages across various sectors. Please refer to the official government announcements for more detailed information and updates.
