British Columbia welcomed 358 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination

In the provincial nominee category, the BC PNP allows nominees and their family to apply to the federal government for permanent residence.

Through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on October 26, 2021, British Columbia welcomed 358 immigration candidates.

In a regularly scheduled general draw, Candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) got invites.

Invitations were expressly provided to people from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, Entry Level, and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC streams.

Minimum scores for that draw varied from 68 to 91 points. A total of 306 participants were invited.

British Columbia has also been conducting a second round of invites twice a month as part of its PNP programme since February. Because of the large number of candidates from certain labour market sectors who registered with the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), these drawings are being held.

The separate draw was held under the SI and EEBC categories, and it targeted individuals whose occupations fell under NOC 0621 (retail and wholesale trade managers) or NOC 0631 (restaurant and food service managers). The draw gave 52 invites with a total score of 104.

This year, British Columbia has issued over 10,000 invites through several BC PNP streams.
