- Draw type: Healthcare and Social Services
- Number of ITAs issued: 470
- Minimum CRS score: 2,500
- Date of draw: August 19, 2025
What Is the Healthcare and Social Services Draw?
This special draw targets candidates with work experience in healthcare and social services occupations. It helps Canada meet its critical labour market needs in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and social services sectors.
Candidates in this category often include:
- Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses
- Personal support workers and care aides
- Paramedics and medical technicians
- Social workers and counselors
What This Draw Means for Candidates
The CRS cut-off of 2,500 is unusually high because this draw is occupation-specific. Candidates with relevant experience, Canadian work history, or provincial nominations are most likely to receive invitations.
If you are a healthcare or social services professional:
- Ensure your profile lists accurate work experience and credentials.
- Keep language test results up to date to maximize CRS points.
- Consider applying for provincial nomination programs to increase your chances further.
Next Steps After Receiving an ITA
Candidates who receive an ITA have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence. Important steps include:
- Accept the ITA in your Express Entry account.
- Submit all required documents, including police certificates, medical exams, proof of work experience, and educational credentials.
- Double-check that personal information is correct to avoid delays.
If you were not invited in this round, your profile remains valid in the Express Entry pool for up to 12 months. You can also take steps to increase your CRS score before the next occupation-specific draw.
