DHA will now accept IELTS test results that include One Skill Retake

Test takers for the IELTS now have access to a new tool that will help them increase their scores and reach their migration and professional objectives.

One Skill Retake (OSR) is a new feature that the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), which is frequently a requirement for overseas education, migration, and employment, has created.

If test takers don’t get the necessary score on their initial try, the OSR will let them repeat one of the four exam components in either reading, writing, speaking, or listening (one only).

Before, if a test taker didn’t achieve their desired score, they had to repeat the full test for all four modules.

IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) will be accessible for selected test takers beginning December 14, 2022.

In Australia, the ILETS authority just launched the OSR pilot project for certain exam participants. Only a few test centres in capital cities are now offering the new feature.

The Department will accept IELTS test results that contain OSR for Australian immigration purposes, with the exception of applications for subclasses 476, 482, and 485, which need scores from a single sitting/attempt.
